As many people know, Taiwan is famous for its variety of food. Last year, a sensational news caught many people’s eyes -- Taipei was referred to as “ the city of gluttony “ in Asia! But no one should be blamed for this; the food in Taiwan is so delicious! Having the population of different peoples, Taiwanese cuisine is vesatile. Sometimes foreigners will be surprised at the mixture of different cultures and the new flavor of the cuisine. Also the argriculture in Taiwan has been transformed into “ delicate argriculture ” and thus local farms can supply different high-quality material grown in the greenhouses.
When it come to my favorite Taiwanese cuisine, the picture of oyster flour-rice noodles comes into my mind. The soup of it is quite thick, but the soup makes the noodles smooth and easy to swallow, Every cook has differeing views on how many shrimps they should put in the soup, but it’s fine with me. The shrimps decide the taste of the soup. It matters a lot whether the oysters are fresh; they can make a good impression or ruin the whole cuisine. Every time I order a bowl of oyster four-rice noodles, I take a deep breath first to smell the scent -- the seafood in it can be so clear as if I went on diving. The noodles bounce and tangl in my mouth but later slip into my stomach smoothly, The oysters glow like pearls in the bowl ans tastes good. At last, I’m filled with the thick soup and satisfied.
The reason why I love the oyster flour-rice noodles is that its fragrance spread in my childhood, When I lived in my grandparents’ house, my grandmother always held a bowl of oyster flour-rice noodles and fed me, This cuisine symbolizes my grandmother’s love, and relishing it is the way I miss my grandmother.
