If I could travel back in time, the person I would like to meet is Da Vinci. As one of the three great men of the Renaissance, Da Vinci created many marvelous things. I would like to watch him draw the drafts and paintings, because I know that all of his paintings will be worth collecting. Born in the thirteenth century, Da Vinci’s notions and ideas were considered castles in the air, but as a modern person, I can understand his creation. I have seen a book about Da Vinci named “The Lonely Genius” and felt sad for him. There was nothing wrong with him. He just had thoughts which surpassed his era. I try to imagine how lonely his life was. If I can travel back in time, I would like to be an apprentice and stay by his side. I would be willing to collect all his manuscripts carefully lest he wouldn’t find it. I would strive to find more sponsors for him, so he could concentrate on his work and leave more legends. If he wanted to take a look into the “body”, I would pluck up my courage and get one for his anatomy.
I’m eager to know why the angels in Da Vinci’s painting are confusing; they look like neither male nor female. I would like to consult him about this, though gazing at those models might be embarrassing. When he draw the drafts of movable bridges, flying machines and diving equipment, I would ask him what theorem he followed. I could tell him that why birds can fly is because of the air bag in its body. I can tell him that steam is a usable source of energy in the future and maybe the first prototype of steamer or plane would come true in the 13th century. Maybe he can even make the “steampunk” genre into fashion when combining the gear with art. I worship him for his patience; he could spend a day observing how the water flowed! The lines on his manuscripts were as smooth as the real ones. I want to see how he drae the famous painting “Mona Lisa”. Who on earth was the model? Was it the true look of her? Or a version of his self-portrait? How did he drew the background from a bird’s viewpoint?

When it comes to bravery, a woman's profile comes into my mind -- Mu Lan, Hua, a heroine in Chinese folktales. I came to know this legendary woman through a video filmed by Disney. This animation was drawn by Americans, but it was hard to tell before I saw the introductions. This animation portrait Mu an, Hua, an unmarried girl but the eldest girl in the Hua family. Mu lan decided to replace her father when he received the order which called him to the military. She disguised as a man and went to the army, telling the general that she would fight for their country. During the months of training she tried not to disclose her identity and went on the exercises as comrades. Several years later, she returned to her hometown with honor.
I have tried to imagine Mu Lan's emotions – how brave she should be to make such a decision! The books said that she lived in a dynasty in which man and woman could both learn how to ride the horse and fight with bows and arrows, but it was still different! She must have plucked up all her courage to devote herself to the warfare without backing off in fear. She may be awake at night, missing her parents or weeping silently. It really needed bravery when she faced the enemies because she knew that she could not shrink back but fight, or else these enemies would attack her country and slaughter her fellow countrymen.

其實這只是一個之前讀過的故事稍微整理改編一下,非原創
The old mailman was going to retire. Because he worked for a post office located in a remote mountainous area, he decided to pass down his career to his son, Tom. He led Tom to recognize the winding trails in the woods and on the hills. He taught Tom how to avoid hornets or snakes, and how to deal with the accidents on the road. At the terminus they stopped in front of a shaggy cottage. The old mailman knocked at the door and yelled, "Betty, mail!" From the cottage came out an old woman, and Tom noticed that her eyes were turbid and blind. The old mailman took out a letter and began to read for the old woman, "Daer grandmother, how have you been these lately? I began feeling cold in this city, Be careful about your health. " The old mailman stopped here and gave the letter to Tom, implying that it was his turn to continue. To tom's surprise, it wasn't even a letter; it was blank paper! Tom wanted to seek help from his father but in vain. The old woman was waiting. Tom stammered, " I got the promotion last month......well,I was considering......that I should get you here to live with me." The old mailman hinted that he shouldn't have said so, but the old woman smiled and asked, "Will you read the mails for me henceforth? You sounds really like my grandchild." Tom nodded and later sensed that she couldn't see,"Yes."he replied and signed in relief.

Can money buy happiness? The answer depend on people's different definition of “Happiness”; Some people's happiness means earning a lot of money; therefore, they think money can buy happiness. But the equation isn't always true. Some rich mend o fell happy with their wealth, while some upstarts have problems accustoming themselves to the new lifestyle; they may find that as their wealth increases, their bother increases. In that case money can't buy happiness.
As for me, money can't buy happiness. Some people may refute me because there's a saying “ Money talks.”But I won't change my answer. It's true that we can't do many things without money, but money can't directly buy happiness. We can squander money on delicacies, but we can't buy the mood of savoring them. We can build many mansions with pools or golf courses, but money can't promise us that we will live happily without anxiety. Money can't prevent us from worrying. The rich have to concern different problems; will their investment return profits? What should they do to earn more money? Money doesn’t ease their hearts but deprive them of the time to enjoy their lives.

I live in Tainan, where was the first developed city in Taiwan. There are many kinds of ancient remains in Tainan. Imagine the scene one will see after chopping off a tree; he will be able to see how old the tree is by counting the annual circles. Likewise, a tourist can easily see the history of Tainan; the old walls are standing there, and some people may have the illusion that an ancient soldier might walk out from the gate at the next second. Aside from admiring the old buildings, there is another thing worth doing: trying the snacks. Tainan is famous for different kinds of snacks. Sometimes I even eat snacks for my lunch. The night markets serve a plenty of snacks every night. Just take a trip to one of the night market and the visitors will marvel at the cuisines.

Many people receive many gifts during their process of growing. A birthday gift reminds a person that he is getting elder and should be mature. A gift given for a festival reminds a person that he should remember the significance of that day. Of all the gifts, everyone will adore something the most. As for me, the most memorable gift I have ever received is an electric dictionary.
I received the electric dictionary from my mother when I was going to study in senior high school. She gave me that little machine as a reward because I entered the language elite class.“ You'll have to look up many buzzwords in your class to catch up with your teacher. Make good use of it.” My mother patted me on the shoulder and handed the expensive machine to me. I gazed at the gloss on its surface and felt a little dazzled.
