前言:此題為情境題,若學校開放讓學生建議下個學期新開的選修課,你會建議什麼課程?為什麼?

A brand-new elective course
   If we are going to have a brand-new elective course in the next semester, I would like to suggest psychology. At the beginning of class, the students should be divided into groups to discuss what they think of psychology. The answers should be listed and later the teacher should clarify the concepts. Students should know clearly what they are learning and how to use their knowledge in the future. The teacher should give students a clear direction to follow.　After that, the teacher can start from the history of psychology. Later, the teacher should talk about some basic theories, like how the subconciousness affect one's behavior or how to tell if someone is lying. By the end of the course, the students can work in groups or do the assignments alone; the final assignment is observing a person for a period of time and analyze him/her. If possible, ask the one who they observe in person and confirm if the assumptions are correct.
   The reason why I suggest psychology is that many of us have problems communicating with others. Many problems are often caused by misunderstanding. In  my opinion, we will do better in communication if we learn about psychology and interpret other's attempts precisely. Also, during the important negotiations, if the possibility of misunderstanding decreases, both sides can save a lot of time. With some tips we learn from psychology, we may be able to reach our goals in better ways. So why not add psychology to the list of elective courses?
