Modern people depend on the Internet very much. With the developement of the Apps and the smartphones, more and more people become addicted to the Internet. Surely the enterprises won’t let the chance slip away ; they try to develope new functions or improve the off-the-shelf ones, and make their roots grow deeper. Can you imagine a world without the Internet in such a condition ?

   In my opinion, the first difference ina world without the Internet would be the inconvenience of having access to the needed imformation. The Internet was originally invented to transport the vast data. Without the Inthernet, we would have to come back to the time of seeking information in the libraries. We might have to browse through several libraries for a few books, because the libraries weren’t connected to each other with the Internet.

   Second, a world without the Internet might be a better place for the producers of CDs and films. The Internet truly enhances the publicity and popularity, but  it undoubtedly makes the pirated copies run wild. The rampant pirated copies cause a great loss to the benefit of the producers, because the producers can’t get a penny from the users even though their compositions are popular. In a world without the Internet, there might be more people buying CDs and DVDs after they see the advertisements from TV or hear on the radio.This world would be friendlier to the hard-working composers.

   Third, in a world without the Internet, there wouldn’t be net-pals. Some people might say that in this case, people wouldn’t be so indifferent to each other ; they wouldn’t merely say “ hi “ to their friends by sending a message when facing them in person. But for a geek like me, it wouldn’t be an ideal world. I wouldn’t have recognized so many people who share the same interest with me. It would also be hard for me to tell the people around me about what I like, because I wouldn’t be able to show the information to them immediately.

   In conclusion, a world without the Internet would surely be a nightmare to me. Thinking of these, I will cherish a life with the Internet.
